About us
The Croatian Tourism Association (HUT) was founded in 2018 as an umbrella sectoral organization of the most important Croatian industry – tourism, which brings 17 percent of GDP, and employs more than 10 percent of the total number of employed in the country. HUT members are 14 biggest hotel companies in Croatia and the largest associations of the Croatian tourism sector - Association of Employers in Croatian Hospitality (UPUHH) and Croatian Camping Association (KUH). Through this joint endeavor, HUT aims to further develop Croatian tourism, primarily in the context of increasing competitiveness, employment and overall positive contribution to the Croatian economy.
Our Mission
The mission of the association is to coordinate activities and content of public communications as well as lobby harmonized interests of professional associations in catering, hospitality, and tourism in Croatia. Croatian Tourism Association is the sector’s center for analyzing all relevant issues that shapes decision makers’ attitudes. HUT actively participates in discussions, working groups and media where its draft law proposals and other regulations of interest to members of the association are being promoted. Its policies are advocated through direct communication with the Government of the Republic of Croatia and other institutions.
